Once a month, San Antonio Rotarians enjoy online Social Hours with fellow Rotarians from around the world. Rotarians enjoy these sessions from the comfort of their own home or office through Zoom teleconferencing.
Our socials might be something like a morning coffee hour with Rotarians from Chennai, India; lunch with Mexico City, Mexico; a Happy Hour with Ottawa, Canada; or a tipple of scotch with Rotarians from Edinburgh, Scotland. In each, we meet new friends and learn about each other’s lives and cultures.
Virtual Socials are…
- ENTERTAINING & EASY
Our members enjoy great conversations as well as cultural exchanges like music demonstrations, humorous performances, or interesting historical presentations. But mostly, we just talk, laugh and learn.
- FUN & FUNCTIONAL
Virtual Socials are always fun; they are also productive. We invariably discuss our clubs’ local and international service projects. We share ideas and exchange best practices. Oftentimes, a few members from each club will Zoom together after the Virtual Social hour to continue discussing things like their service programs or to mentor each other on recruitment or global projects. Or, as often happens, just to keep up the friendship.
