For those interested, members can also choose to become involved in international humanitarian service efforts. More than 1.2 million men and women in over 200 countries and geographical areas belong to over 33,000 Rotary clubs.

Membership by Invitation
Rotary membership is by invitation. Interested individuals can express their interest, after which they may be invited to attend meetings or events to learn more about the club. If there’s mutual interest, the club may extend a formal invitation to join.
Time Commitment
- Weekly Meetings: While the San Antonio Rotary Club offers a great deal of flexibility, regular attendance is encouraged.
- Events and Projects: Members are expected to try to participate in at least some service projects, fundraisers, and other club activities.
Financial Responsibilities
Annual membership dues will be made clear as part of the application process.
Engagement and Participation
Active involvement in community service projects is a cornerstone of Rotary membership. Opportunities also exist to take on leadership roles within the club and contribute to its direction. Building relationships with fellow members through social events and collaborative projects is highly valued.
New members typically undergo an orientation program to familiarize themselves with Rotary’s mission, values, and operations. Additionally, mentors may be assigned to guide new members through their initial period in the club.
